Description:
The project involved the provision of 13 2MW wind turbines and the provision of 18 kilometres of underground ducting along national primary and secondary routes in order to connect to the grid.
Civil works relation to the wind farm included the provision of over 5km of temporary roads over difficult terrain to access the turbine positions. Road construction involved over 30.000m3 of stone filling. The foundation bases for the turbines consisted of the construction of circular reinforced bases each of approx 280m3 of concrete.
